The Sportsman Casino, established in the 70’s, is the London club that has most often changed location. Originally established on the Tottenham Court Road, it then relocated to Bryanston Street. When the Bryanston Street lease expired, it was moved again to its current location in Old Quebec Street, very close to Marble Arch.

The re-opening meant more than just a new venue: it also launched the Sportsman as the youngest Casino in London. Club Manager, Bill Curtis, who has worked at all three venues, knows the Casino better than anybody. Mr Curtis took his first steps in the Casino business in 1978, at the Coral-owned Palm Beach Casino. He became involved with LCI in 1981, when London Clubs International bought out the Palm Beach, and in 2000 was made manager of the Sportsman.
The challenge facing Curtis, assistant manager Colin Lane and their team is to make the new Club a meeting place for young sports fans. “We want to get back to our roots … as a place where fashion and sport can mix.
